Project 2a & 2b

Project 2a Natural Form

The second project is talk about natural beauty. If talk about natural, I think mushroom was the most appropriate choosen.  Mushroom are actually a fungus, a special type of organism which has no roots, leaves, flower and seeds. The mushroom I chose was "Shiitake Mushroom." The command name for this mushroom was came from Japanese Language. "Shii" is refers to wood belonging to the Pasiana species of tree. While "Take" was simplified as mushroom. The characteristics were it was brown in colour and it had slightly convex cap that range in 2 to 4 inches in diameter.

Project 2b Man-Made Form

Project 2b must relative with project 2a. So the building I chose was The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. This tower was built up by a Chinese contractor who named as Lee Choon Chong in year 1885. The history for this tower was used as water storage . In that time  there was no fire brigade , a neccessity in the event of draught. The first impression when I look at this building was it liked made up by 8 grains of Shiitake Mushroom. The outlook of building appearance 8th floor but  infact there are only 3 layers.  Each 5 meter high. Besides, there are  110 steps connecting the floors which are 15.5 feet high. Base stucture was 43 feet in diameter, wide 6 feet wide corridor.  The concept for this building was in octagonal shape building and used chinese architectural elements in the design that were mortar strips, roof and drippers.
